“I’ll always take care of you.”
These words, accompanied by a crystal clear vision of Jesus seen one morning after my divorce, set me on my spiritual path. That was nearly 15 years ago.
Those years have been filled with parenting my two children, the loss of a long-time job, the death of my mom, the creation and closure of a small business, a return to corporate (with another layoff), an Alzheimer’s diagnosis for my dad and many more challenges. The common thread through all of these events has been my faith in God and a realization of His immense and unconditional love for me.
It is this love that has seen me through the bumps and bruises of being a single mom, a truth-seeker – a woman wearing multiple hats on a daily basis finding her way in this modern world. It’s the constant in my life where nothing is constant.
I feel that this is the purpose for which I am called – to write and speak about the love of God and how it has changed my life and yours too, if you decide to seek it out. I write from my heart and the inspiration I receive after prayerful meditation.
My intention with my writing is to inform and inspire my audience. I share relevant Bible verses that help me better understand my life lessons and deepen my relationship with God through His Son, Jesus. There’s transformative power in these words which I have personally experienced.
The posts you read are about my life and my encounters with God’s grace as I walk along the narrow path of His purpose for me. Some days I do it really well. Others, uh….not so much. That’s ok. God loves me on my good and bad days!
I don’t claim to be a Bible scholar or that I interpret God’s word as others would. That’s because everyone has their own relationship with God. My writing reflects mine in the moment.
My credentials are varied. College degrees, corporate professional, award-winning author and business owner. However, my most important title is “Mom”. It’s the one I value above all others and work the hardest at to excel.
I hope you enjoy your time on my blog. I pray that it will inspire you to seek a deeper relationship with God, whatever that looks like for you. Most of all, I pray it brings you a moment of peace, joy or at least the feeling that you are not alone in this crazy thing called life.
I’ve been told that when people read my posts, they feel that I’m speaking directly to them. That makes me happy. No fluff or frills here. Good ol’ honesty and authenticity is how I operate.
Feel free to contact me with questions or feedback. I’d love to hear from you and I’ll always respond. So grab your coffee and let’s chat!
